Garage Update May 9

We spent Saturday afternoon at the lake, trying to finish it before the building certificate expires. In six hours of work we managed to get a lot done. Mom even used her first power tool--an electric screwdriver with a power bit!
First, we framed the wall to enclose the stairs.
Thisis the right side wall of the "storage" room.

Left side wall...(not too impressive, is it?) Right now we are just trying to get the certificate of occupancy before we have to pay for another building permit.

Half wall on the stair-end of the room. The sheet rock is only on the stair-side so far.

Dad is just about to call it a day..we plan to finish Monday night after work.

Stu's Graduation

Afterwards we had a great lunch at Grandma's, especially the potato salad!
